Abstract

After a brief introduction on Huawei’s Research and Development and its opportunities for students, the seminar will illustrate the structure and challenges of modern cellular networks, highlighting the current bottlenecks in the evolution toward 6G. In this context, photonics technologies are considered as a possible solution not only for the transport network but also, for the first time, for the radio access network.
