About the speaker

In the past 30 years Mauro Pipponzi has covered several roles in engineering and engineering management both in the fields of HW Design and EDA Design. His interest in Functional Safety started in 2012 when he joined Yogitech to lead the development of the functional safety automation suite. Following the Yogitech acquisition he joined Intel in 2016 where he's currently responsible for the functional safety methodology and automation strategy.

Abstract

An introduction to the basic concepts of functional safety: the needs, the relevant sectors, the standards, the methods and the solutions. The presentation will focus particularly on ISO26262, the standard covering the automotive fields, which is today the leading sector in terms of safe solution.
