Horizon Europe e Digital Europe sono Programmi Quadro europeo per la Ricerca e l’Innovazione (2021-2027)

Horizon Europe è il Programma quadro dell’Unione europea per la ricerca e l’innovazione per il periodo 2021-2027. È il successore di Horizon 2020.

Il programma ha una durata di sette anni – corrispondente al bilancio di lungo termine dell’UE. È il più vasto programma di ricerca e innovazione transnazionale al mondo.

Finanzia attività di ricerca e innovazione – o attività di sostegno a R&I – e lo fa principalmente attraverso inviti a presentare proposte (call for proposals) aperti e competitivi. Il Programma è attuato direttamente dalla Commissione europea (gestione diretta). Le attività di ricerca e innovazione finanziate da Horizon Europe devono concentrarsi esclusivamente su applicazioni civili.

Il programma Europa digitale DIGITAL è un nuovo programma di finanziamento dell'UE incentrato sull'introduzione della tecnologia digitale alle imprese, ai cittadini e alle pubbliche amministrazioni.
