About the speaker
Paweł Barmuta obtained dual Ph.D. degree (with honors) in electronic engineering from Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland and KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, in 2016. He served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, and as a FWO Postdoc with KU Leuven. Afterwards, he moved to NI, where he works as Principal RF Systems Engineer. His research interests are nonlinear microwave measurements, experiment design and calibration techniques.
Abstract
Modern telecommunication networks provide high data rates and allow great flexibility in their configuration. These features entail a plethora of stringent requirements that the RF components must meet. But how do you measure state-of-the-art components? With even better instrumentation! During the seminar, we will tackle the challenges and opportunities of modern measurement systems in the context of telecommunication networks. From the foundry up to the telecommunication network, from 5G to 6G … and beyond.
