Abstract
The role of telecom regulators is to protect consumers and citizens, while stimulating innovation and investments in the marketplace. New trends and disruptions in the telecom sector such as the Internet of Things and the digital economy are creating new opportunities for businesses and society, but, at the same time, they are altering the traditional market dynamics and are creating new challenges for regulators.
This seminar will look at how regulators play a key role in shaping the evolution of the telecom sector and will discuss the “regulator’s dilemma” with a focus on the challenges of the Internet of Things and the evolution of wireless technologies.
